2026 Youth Free Throw Championship

The Knights of Columbus Council 816 is sponsoring a Youth Free-Throw Championship on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School in Asbury Park, NJ.

All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition.

NOTE: All local winners are eligible to compete in the District Free Throw Championship to be held on Sunday, Feb 1st, 1:30 PM at St. Rose of Lima, 51 Lincoln Pl., Freehold. Please be aware that this is the only date that the district event will be held.

For 9, 10, and 11-year-old boys and girls, the report time begins at 9:00 am.

For 12, 13, and 14-year-old boys and girls, the report time begins at 10:00 am.

The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local, district, and jurisdictional competitions. International champions are announced by the Knights of Columbus international headquarters in New Haven, CT, based on scores from the jurisdiction-level competitions. All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are eligible to participate and will compete in their respective age divisions. All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. Participants are required to furnish proof of age, written parental consent, and an entry form.
